(Telfer Road between Petrolia Line and Rokeby Line)
Providence Methodist Church was built in 1848. At church union in 1925 it became Providence United Church, but it lasted as such only until 1927. After this time, the building was sold to the Latter Day Saints Church and moved for use in Petrolia. School Section #6 Moore served the community of Providence. Providence Women’s Institute operated in this community until late in the 20th century. The remaining landmark of Providence is the cemetery.
